xCELLigence HT:
High-throughput system based on 384-well format E-Plates. The HT system integrates well with automated sample preparation robots from many manufacturers and joins the RTCA technology for live cells into the high-throughput screening process. One analyzer can link with up to 4 work stations each holding one 384-well E-Plate resulting in a maximum capacity of 1536 samples. The work station dimensions are designed to fit into most robot systems. The very flexible system easily adapts to real time high throughput cell analysis or independent experiments of several users. Run your Real Time Cell Analysis (RTCA) fully automated and label-free to produce data of highest quality and integrity. High-Troughput Assays, integrates in many robot platforms
The xCELLigence HT system is a high throughput analyzer for the label-free real time cell analysis in 384-well plate format. Up to 4 work stations can be connected to the analyzer to yield a total of 1536 samples per run, if desired. The compact design work station is integrated into the automation platform (with or w/o incubator access) whereas experiment control and data evaluation are handled by the external analyzer and a PC (laptop). All active assays are monitored continuously.

Method of Operation
Cells are seeded and grown on an E-plate equipped with gold-plated electrodes. The changes in morphology of the adhered cells cause changes in impedance of the electrodes. This allows to monitor all changes in cell status continuously and dynamically. As data are recorded continuously, this method of real time monitoring produces a wealth of information far superior to classical end-point assays. This technology is currently making its way into drug development, toxicology, cancer research, microbiology and virology.
