PBMC Biobank

• Separation:

Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs) are isolated from Blood using HiSep^TM Lymphocyte Separation Media (LSM1077). Other Separation Media are available as well. For details see HiSep^TM Lymphocyte Separation Media.

• Preparation:

For storage of PBMC/Lymphocyte special cryo-media are available. CryoXL^TM Cell Freezing Medium – DMSO with Serum (TCL093-50ML) or Serum Free (TCL098-50ML) are recommended. For More Details see CryoXL^TM – Cryopreservation.

• Storage:

Cryo Vials are available in volumes ranging from 0.5 to 5ml designed for storage in liquid nitrogen and ultra-low freezers. For details see Cryo Vials.

• Counting & Analysis:

CASY CAN DO

CASY Cell Counter & Analyzer is the perfect counter to analyze quality of samples before freezing and after thawing. In case of PBMC, not only cell number and viability are measured but the volume-based size distribution allows to understand variation in share between lymphocyte and monocyte. Cells Biobank

Requirements for biobanking of cells vary based on type of cells. Especially concerning expansion of cells, beside the classical solution of static 2-dimensional expansion, superior solutions are available for 3D cell culture, the CERO 3D Incubator and Bioreactor.

• Expansion:

A comprehensive portfolio of products for cultivation of cells ranging from classical to specialty media, from supplements and chemicals to cell culture systems.

The novel CERO 3D Incubator and Bioreactor is the perfect solution for expansion of pluripotent stem cells as well as other cell types. • Dissociation Reagents:

• Preparation:

Different cell types have different requirements of cryo media. The CryoXL^TM Cell Freezing Medium product line provides special solutions for sensitive-, stem- or hybridoma cells containing DMSO or Glycerin. Serum Free Media are available too. For more details see CryoXL^TM – Cryopreservation.

• Storage:
