Here we demonstrate immunophenotypic analysis of a human blood sample utilizing 13 fluorescent markers on the NovoCyte 3000, a compact benchtop flow cytometer equipped with 3 lasers. Tumor Cell Killing by T Cells: Quantifying the Impact of a CD19-BiTE Using Real-Time Cell Analysis, Flow Cytometry, and Multiplex Immunoassay

In this Application Note, the enhancement effects of CD19-BiTEs have been evaluated using three distinct assays. While target cell death was monitored using an RTCA impedance assay and a flow cytometry-based cytolysis assay, secretion of cytokines and cytolytic proteins was quantified in a bead-based multiplex flow cytometry assay.

Examining the Kinetics of Neutrophil Phagocytosis by Flow Cytometry | NEW

There are several advantages to using flow cytometry to measure phagocytosis: Flow cytometry can analyze thousands of cells per second facilitating statistical analysis while offering multi-parametric measurements for simultaneous evaluation of neutrophil features. Flow cytometry allows the measurement of neutrophil phagocytosis in white blood cells without creating artifacts and therefore may well represent phagocytosis in vivo.
In this application note, we measured neutrophil phagocytosis on the NovoCyte flow cytometer under various conditions and quantified the effect of a potent actin remodeling inhibitor, cytochalasin D.

Novel methods to analyze platelet activation with the NovoCyte flow cytometer | NEW

Measuring platelet activity by flow cytometry offers several advantages over LTA in that only small amount of blood volumes are needed, whole blood can be used, and results are independent of platelet count. Furthermore, the possibility of ready-made tubes with fixative would extend the time between blood collection and analysis, crucial for field testing.
In this application note, we have measured platelet function in two ways: expression of CD62P and by frequency of platelet-leukocyte aggregates.
