Powerful – Automated – Flexible
Like the digital imaging system CELENA® S, the high throughput screening and imaging system CELENA® X also does not require any dark rooms and have no eye-pieces. High throughput imaging system CELENA® X has a motorized XYZ stage for automated well-plate imaging and slide scanning.
The motorized objective turret allows 5 interchangeable objectives, ranging from 1.25x to 100x to study cellular structures. Also compatible with Zeiss/Olympus objectives. Uniform illumination with 4 interchangeable LED fluorescence filter cubes for sensitive fluorescence detection. Furthermore, it supports a variety of cell culture vessels such as microscopic slides, multi-well plates, tissue-culture dishes.
The high throughput imaging system CELENA® X is equipped with a laser autofocus module which provides rapid, reproducible focusing and reduced photobleaching.

The workflow for performing high content imaging or live-cell imaging experiments with the high throughput imaging system CELENA® X is very simple and easy to set-up.
The 3As of the imaging workflow made easy:
Acquisition of images
Analysis of images
Analysis of data
High throughput imaging system CELENA® X is compatible with onstage incubation systems to carry out automated kinetic cell assays in physiological and non-physiological conditions. The automated system focuses automatically on and acquires each specified field with the preset imaging conditions. CELENA® X also supports on stage incubation systems from IBIDI and TOKAIHIT.
With the onstage incubation system, various aspects such as temperature, humidity, and, gas content can be controlled with precision supporting live-cell imaging applications. It is simple to set up a time-lapse imaging sequence for lengthy cell-based assays and also export images or create time-lapse videos.
The high throughput imaging system CELENA® X is as flexible as it is powerful, with interchangeable objectives and filter cubes to accommodate a wide range of fixed and live-cell imaging applications. The high throughput imaging system CELENA® X can be used to perform and evaluate a variety of cell assays including high throughput tissue microarrays. Below is a list of some of the assays that can be easily assessed with the CELENA® X.
CELENA®X Explorer is an easy-to-use interface to set up automated high-content imaging experiments with ease.
CELENA®X Cell Analyzer is a powerful and flexible software to produce statistically robust data. It can be installed onto and used on a remote PC for your convenience. Smooth transition from imaging to analysis on the CELENA® X or analyze your data at your desk. With Cell Analyzer, create a customized image analysis pipeline to quantitatively analyze various cellular features ranging from simple fixed cell assays to complex time-lapse live-cell assays. Analysis pipelines can be put together and re-used to identify cellular or subcellular objects, process images for optimal data collection, and make various measurements.
The integrated software CELENA® X Cell Analyzer includes a sequence of modules to create pipeline for batch data analysis. These modules are individual analysis algorithm that performs specific and limited task. Tasks could be image pre-processing, object identification, measurement, etc.
In 4 simple steps, run batch analysis of entire image sets either from fixed cells or live-cell assays.
For our eco-toxicological research, we use biological samples such as cells expressing endogenous fluorescent proteins and model organisms like Danio rerio. To answer some of our research questions, we require high content imaging. For this purpose, CELENA® X High Content Imaging System along with its CELENA® X Cell Analyzer software serves as an ideal automated imaging and analysis platform for us
