Join our product manager, Mr. Amir Keric, OLS OMNI Life Science presenting our unique CERO 3D cell culture technology to boost your stem cell, spheroid, organoid and tissue research.
Our guest speaker, Ms. Karin Taxauer, from the research group of Prof. Dr. med. Markus Gerhard, Institute for Medical Microbiology, Immunology, and Hygiene, at Technical University Munich will present exciting data on gastric organoids cultured in the CERO 3D Incubator and Bioreactor.
The group of Prof. Gerhard focuses on the mechanisms of tumor development in the gastrointestinal tract, especially during chronic inflammation elicited by Helicobacter pylori infection. Furthermore, the group is also interested in identifying targets to develop novel prophylactic approaches and therapeutic strategies for H. pylori infection and stomach cancer.
Gastric organoids derived from gastric epithelial stem cells are a good model to study gastric carcinogenesis and H. pylori, and epithelial cell interaction. Therefore, avoiding the use of transformed cell lines. Using the CERO 3D Incubator and Bioreactor, the group of Prof. Gerhard has successfully improved the yield and viability of gastric organoid cultures. These gastric organoids are later used for further experiments such as performing expression analysis and preparing 2D cultures for infection studies.
